Dr. Jeffrey Wilson
Dr. Jeffrey Wilson grew up in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. His clinical training included treating patients at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, and the Maricopa County Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona.

Dr. Wilson’s patient care experience includes over twenty years of primary eye care for adults and children, contact lenses, treatment of ocular disease, and co-management of ocular surgery.
After practicing optometry in Arizona, Dr. Wilson and his family returned home to Sweetwater County in 2006 to provide high quality, personalized eye care for the residents of Green River, Rock Springs and the surrounding areas. He enjoys the outdoors, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Amasa Mecham, OD, FAAO
Meet Dr. Amasa Mecham, your trusted local optometrist. He’s a Wyoming native, raised right here in Green River. Dr. Mecham’s journey to becoming an optometrist is as impressive as his dedication to providing exceptional eye care. Before pursuing a career in optometry, Dr. Mecham was an athlete. He attended BYU-Idaho and the University of Wyoming on a Cross Country and Track scholarship, setting the foundation for his disciplined approach to eye care.

Dr. Mecham earned his doctorate degree in optometry from the University of Houston in Texas. He further honed his skills during a Residency in Primary Eye Care through the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. With a strong sense of duty, Dr. Mecham proudly served as an optometrist in the United States Army for 13 years. His dedication and expertise led him to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and he bravely deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Mecham enjoys unwavering support from his loving wife and their three children. Family is at the core of his life. In his free time, you’ll find Dr. Mecham enjoying quality moments with his family, exploring new destinations through travel, and indulging his passion for fishing. His dedication to providing personalized eye care is matched only by his zest for life beyond the optometry clinic.

Stephanie is from right here in Green River, and has been with Desert View Eye Care since 2009. She received her Paraoptometric certification in 2013 and is the lead optician for our office. She enjoys spending time with family, hunting, and camping.

I have been working here for almost two years as a Receptionist. I love camping and going to the lake. My kids are my world.

I have been working here for almost three years as a Technician. I enjoy spending time with my family and doing anything outside, but cornhole is my favorite!
Shaylee
I am a licensed Esthetician, as well as a Technician. I love working in health care and being able to make patients happy.

I have been in the eyecare industry for three and a half years. I love to spend my free time on my boat with my family and friends.

I love camping and going to the cabin. Most of my free time is spent with my husband and dogs.
Amy
I grew up in Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming and got my Bachelors of Art in elementary education. This is also where I met Dr. Mecham. I taught 5th grade for 2 years in Houston before becoming a stay at home mom while I followed Dr. Mecham around with the Army. I also really enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
Destinee
I am at the Kemmerer location Monday-Thursday. I’ve lived in Kemmerer my whole life. I’ve been in the optical industry for a little over 2 years. I love spending time with family and camping.
