Dr. Jeffrey Wilson was a cornerstone of the Sweetwater County medical community and the visionary founder of Desert View Eye Care. While he has passed away, his legacy of "Modern Medicine, Traditional Service" remains the heartbeat of our practice.
His Journey
Growing up in Rock Springs, Wyoming, Dr. Wilson’s roots in this community ran deep. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Wyoming and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. His extensive clinical training included service at the Veterans’ Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City, the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, and the Maricopa County Medical Center in Phoenix.
A Legacy of Care
After practicing in Arizona, Dr. Wilson and his family returned home to Sweetwater County in 2006. He established Desert View Eye Care to provide high-quality, personalized vision services for the residents of Green River, Rock Springs, and the surrounding areas.
With over twenty years of experience in primary eye care, contact lenses, and ocular surgery co-management, Dr. Wilson set a standard of clinical excellence that we strive to uphold every day. He was a man who loved the Wyoming outdoors, followed sports with passion, and cherished every moment spent with his family.
